In God Will I Trust

Psalm 91:1-2
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

And I will join the psalmist and say this, as well. The Lord is my refuge, my safe place to dwell in a troublesome world full of sin and sorrow, dangers and attacks of the enemy, and struggles of all kinds. He is a haven in the storms and weariness that come in this life. I will say that the Lord is my fortress, a protected place, surrounded by the impenetrable walls of His power, His mercy, His love. He is safety personified, and nothing can touch me when I am there guarded under His protection.

I will say that He is my God, the only true God, the one worthy of my worship, my service, and my devotion. I will acknowledge Him as the high and holy one, lifted up above all, sovereign in His authority, the King of kings, Lord of lords, God Almighty. I will say in God I will trust, and let me not look to any other. Let me fully trust in Him alone. Let me believe His words and know so surely His character. Let me rest in His truth. Let me stand on the firm foundation of Christ my Savior. Let me have faith in God as my deliverer, my helper, my Father, my master, and all that He wants to be in my life. Let it be an unshakable faith in the One who is unshakable.
